Nike’s response to the boycotts:
“We did all the math. We’re a $76 Billion dollar company that can afford to let go of all ‘make america great again’ customers. We would rather be on the right side of his-tory.”
– Stephen Bigalow
In my opinion, Nike decision to diplay their support for Colin Kaepernick by their recent “Believe In Something Even If It Means Sacrificing Everything” ad was a good well thought-out plan, seeing it has raised a $43 million buzz for the their brand. Question! Does the burning of shoes, socks or other Nike products by some a rebellion against, the brand for their support or against what Kaepernick stands for? And lastly, is the demonstration also putting more light on how large or widespread racism is among this nation?
